Could little kids use these to learn to read sooner than they would be able to with regular writing?
Would kids enjoy learning these as a fun secret language, maybe with a friend, maybe for their diaries?
I’ll have a book, IDS FOR KIDS, available eventually.
Here is a story from Arnold Lobel’s Owl at Home. A person could print it out, read it to kids, then work at teaching to read the ids from it. Basic lessons with flashcards should be available first though. Coming up. The lessons–you could make your own cards. Perhaps someone with special needs kids in mind will see some potential in it.
